City Friends Club in collaboration with the curatorial team ARTNOW announce the RE:SOURCE environmental art exhibition taking place on 16th -18th of June at The Warehouse by ITQuarter.
RE:SOURCE is a large-scale ecological art project which combines the contemporary artworks of 25 international artists. The exhibition attracts attention to the deteriorating ecological situation globallyand encourages the implementation of 5Rs eco-friendly principles in our life: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, Roots.
Different ways of representation using recycling materials and found objects emphasise the significance of eco agenda. Environmental discurs is covered by a wide variety of media like paintings and graphics, installations and sculptures, videoart and performances.
The RE:SOURCE environmental art project is inspired by City Friends Club and managed by the ARTNOW team.
City Friends Club is a charity organisation based in Limassol which performs street cleaning, runs volunteer clean-ups and implements ecological education programs. The main goal of the CFC organisation is to raise environmental awareness and reduce future waste pollution in Cyprus.
ARTNOW is a curatorial team dealing with conception and management of RE:SOURCE exhibition. The main focus of ARTNOW is professional exhibition directing and artist’s promotion.
It is only through cooperation and exchange that we can better understand one another. We hope that the works of multinational artists, reflecting on environmental change, create the collective voice to be recorded, heard and become part of local and international dialogue.
