In the heart of Polemidia, there is a hidden gem that I must confess I had no idea about. Hidden in plain sight on one of the busiest streets, surrounded by trees, lies this beautiful grill house.
To make a long story short, the meat is exceptional, always fresh, with no precooked souvlakia, no precooked sheftalia, and there lies the main difference from most grill places in Cyprus. The strict reservation policy is understandable in light of everything being grilled on demand, which requires that the cook knows in advance how much meat he will need on a single night.
You have to try the liver, juicy and tasty as hell. The souvlakia are exceptionally juicy, melting in your mouth and full of flavor.
People who usually don’t eat sheftalia go to this place to eat sheftalia, they are that good. The fries are crispy, and of course, they only use freshly-cut Cyprus potatoes.
The place has a chill atmosphere, covered in trees, it is usually packed with everyday people, but don’t be staggered if you see a celebrity or a politician there.
The next time I will try the lamb chops, they smelled and looked delicious but I simply couldn’t have any more food as their portions are quite big. Everything comes per person, eg: one piece of sausage one piece of sheftalia and so on, so talk to the very friendly staff to figure out together how much you should order.
Overall I have to say that this place is unique, it combines a very secluded location, freshly grilled meat, value for money, and cool relaxed vibes.
If you want to call yourself a Limassolian you have to visit the place, very authentic and 100% made in Cyprus.
