Η Πλατφόρμα Χορογραφίας Κύπρου, αποτελεί ετήσιο χορογραφικό θεσμό του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού, που διοργανώνεται από τις Πολιτιστικές Υπηρεσίες και το Θέατρο Ριάλτο. Η Πλατφόρμα η οποία αποσκοπεί στη δημιουργία και παρουσίαση νέων έργων σύγχρονης χορογραφίας στο κοινό, έχει συμβάλει σημαντικά με τις είκοσι μία προηγούμενες εκδόσεις της στην ανάπτυξη και προώθηση του σύγχρονου χορού στον τόπο μας.
Έχοντας ανανεωθεί ως θεσμός τα τελευταία χρόνια, η Πλατφόρμα Χορογραφίας συνεχίζει να στοχεύει στην στήριξη των κυπρίων δημιουργών και στην παρουσίαση νέων έργων σύγχρονης χορογραφίας στο κοινό. Οι οκτώ χορογράφοι που προκρίθηκαν από την Επιτροπή Επιλογής προετοιμάζονται εντατικά, μαζί με τους συνεργάτες τους, για να παρουσιάσουν τα νέα έργα τους.

Το κεντρικό πρόγραμμα παραστάσεων εμπλουτίζουν και φέτος παράλληλες εκδηλώσεις, τις οποίες διοργανώνει η Στέγη Χορού Λεμεσού, κάτω από τον τίτλο «Dance Throughout the Year».
Σημειώνεται πως ο Έλληνας χορογράφος Παύλος Κουντουριώτης έχει και φέτος την ευθύνη της καθοδήγησης (mentoring) των νέων χορογράφων στη διαδικασία προετοιμασίας του έργου τους.

22nd Cyprus Choreography Platform
Includes 8 new works by established and upcoming choreographers at Rialto Theatre on 11 & 12 November
The Cyprus Choreography Platform is an annual choreographic institution of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, organized by the Cultural Services and the Rialto Theatre. The Platform, which aims to create and present new works of contemporary choreography to the public, has contributed significantly with its twenty-one previous editions to developing and promoting contemporary dance in our country.
Having been renewed as an institution in recent years, the Choreography Platform continues to aim to support Cypriot creators and present new talents of contemporary choreography to the public. The eight choreographers shortlisted by the Selection Committee are intensively practicing with their teams, to present their new projects.

The main program of performances is enriched again this year by parallel events, organized by the Dance House Lemesos, titled “Dance Throughout the Year”.
It is noted that the Greek choreographer Pavlos Kountouriotis has the responsibility of mentoring the new choreographers in the process of preparing their work.
