Μια ταινία χορού ντοκουμέντο, μια διαδραστική επί-σκηνής έκθεση και ένα μικρό βιβλίο που ανοίγουν την δημιουργική διαδικασία πίσω από τη παράσταση διαρκείας SPIRIT, ένα τετράωρο μαραθώνιο χορού που μεταδόθηκε ζωντανά στις προσωπικές οθόνες των θεατών κατά τη πρώτη καραντίνα του 2020.

Στα πλαίσια του Flashart@Rialto και του Beyond DisDance Festival, διοργάνωση Υπόγειας Σκηνής/Πολυχώρος Συνεργείο.
Η έκθεση, σε σχεδιασμό Εύας Κοραή και Όμηρου Παναγίδη, προσφέρει είσοδο στη διαδικασία δημιουργίας της οπτικής επικοινωνίας της παράστασης, στη διαδικασία προβών, στη γραμματοσειρά SPIRIT. Μέσα στα πλαίσια της επί-σκηνής έκθεσης θα παρουσιαστεί το βιβλίο του SPIRIT σε σχεδιασμό του Όμηρου Παναγίδη, με κείμενα της ομάδας, αναφορές στο έργο του 2020 και φωτογραφικό υλικό από τα ‘παρασκήνια’. Με αφορμή τη συνεργασία με το BeyondDisdance Festival, δημιουργήθηκαν επίσης έργα με έμφαση στην υφή και την τρίτη διάσταση.

“Συχνά, έχω ερωτήματα για την ίδια τη λειτουργία της τέχνης του χορού σε σχέση με τον τόπο και την κοινότητα στην οποία ζω. Αναζητώ διαδρόμους επικοινωνίας μεταξύ θεατή και ενός έργου σύγχρονης τέχνης του οποίου το βασικό συστατικό είναι η εμπειρία του σώματος. Διαπραγματεύομαι τη διαθεσιμότητα του περφόρμερ απέναντι στον θεατή, την άπλα του χρόνου, την ενασχόληση με μία κίνηση και τις προεκτάσεις της, το τώρα που γίνεται πιο σημαντικό από το αύριο, τη προσπάθεια κατάκτησης του εαυτού – ως θεατής και ως χορευτής.”

A video dance documentary, an interactive on stage exhibition and a small book that open the creation process behind the durational performance SPIRIT, a four-hour dance marathon streamed live to the viewers’ personal screens during the first lockdown in 2020.

Within the framework of Flashart@Rialto and Beyond DisDance Festival organised by Ipogeia Skini/Synergeio.
The exhibition, designed by Eva Korae and Omiros Panayides will offer insight into the process behind the creation of the visual communication of the work, the rehearsals process, the SPIRIT typeface. Within the frame of the exhibition, the SPIRIT book designed by Omiros Panayides, will be presented. It features texts by the team and reports on the work from 2020 including ‘backstage’ photographs. Exhibits emphasising the use of touch and the third dimension were also created, prompted by the collaboration with Beyond Disdance Festival.

“Often, I have questions about the very function of the art of dance in relation to the place and community I live in. I seek communication pathways between the spectator and a contemporary performance work whose main component is the experience of the body. I negotiate the availability of the performer towards the viewer, the abundance of time, the engagement with a movement and its extensions, the now that becomes more important than the tomorrow, the effort to conquer the self – as a spectator or a mover.”
